Hi Alex,
I am using: Debian Bookworm, kernel 6.1.0-22-rt-amd64.
The display is 1366x768
Your suggestion does not solve issue.
Any update new solution ?
Thank you.

Problem came back! Something updated, possibly Debian, and now my screen is too wide again. See attached photo. What's different is that I can't set it to Start as Windowed and then back to Start as Fullscreen to fix the problem. Also, the modification to Gmoccapy by

earlier in this thread does not work anymore, although it did for 6+ months.
My touchscreen monitor is set for native resolution, 1024 x 768
I have the latest version of Debian Bookworm.
I thought that updating everything might help, so I updated LinuxCNC from 2.92 to 2.93 and Gmoccapy from 3.4.6 to 3.4.8. No joy.
Help me newbynobi , you're my only hope!

I found a fix!
I'm running Debian Linux. Go to Settings - Display
Under Scale, pick Custom, and set X & Y to 1.1 See attached photo.
After that, the display fit on the screen!

I did a clean install with the 2.9.8 / trixie ISO file, and have the same behavior on a 1980x1080 HDMI monitor, but inconsistantly. Sometimes full screen is correct, and then I get a switch to Gmoccapy not fitting the screen, but I am not yet sure under which conditions that happens.
Scaling 1.1 doesn't help, it just uses 90% of the screen with the gmoccapy still not fitting.
Cheers,
Mark

I think it's a bit different. Because the original issue is about expanding the width but your window gets expanded in both dimensions.
