Use the 'hal configuration' tool in the gmoccpy gui (button on the bottom right of the settings page).
select the 7i96s in the left hand window and follow the tree to the inputs. You should see the available input pins and the inverted pins as well.
Might as well check the signal changes in the 'watch' tab in the right window when the probe is activated.

Longlive the linuxcnc comunity!!!
Next step is to find away to have G54 coordinates and not absolute for tool change but I think this is too much.
The reason is that my CNC gantry is not too plan. So the nearest is done the tool measurment to my workpiece the best result I have.
