If you are using my install ISO and update the kernel the default kernel will be the one that has just been installed.
Thanks BeagleBrainz I am burning the ISO now and getting ready to install . I will probably do a test tomorrow morning ( my time )

In fact if you right click on the kernel packages in the update manager you can tell the update manager to ignore the updates.
In actual fact there really isn't a need to apply any updates if you are just testing. The system will run just fine.
Unless of course you intend to induce a stack over flow and execute "some arbitrary code" and give your self root permission. Or you're going to visit some dodgy websites.

Should get the same results, if you do it after the upload. Important is the same machine. I do not have access to any AMD X2 based machine. This could help determine why there is no temperature data. Be warned: I might ask more

AMD Athlon currently doesn't like displaying it's core temp. That said here are the sensors reading's during the
5 minute test
And beacuse the script won't complete it's task without a temp reading
I am pretty sure another couple of Gigs of Ram would greatly benefit this machine

Looks like it is a "IdeaCentre H215". Nice, small thingy, I guess.
That helps a lot. Thanks! I have to modify the script accordingly (lookup has to be for "core|temp", not only core). Maybe even add a check, whether there is any temp data at all would probably be nice. Better than to have to post the whole *.lat file. You could use:

I had a feeling it needed more ram and I now have another 2 gigs on the way.
The H215 Idea center I am using has the graphics card portion integrated into the mother board
I will look into an add on card to see if it will help .
fortunately I wont be working on the PnP project for awhile so I have time to mess with the computer configuration
at least now when I plug in a usb camera I get video, I couldn't do that with Debian Wheezy for some reason.
