Right, but what is the complete Intel CPU model?
( there are 9 generations of I3s dating back to 2010 )

If even that does not work, open a terminal and paste this:
sudo apt install gdebi
y
For the cpu type, open a terminal and type
lscpu
notice the number after I3

You can just double click on that and it should show the screen for gdebi package installer, if it does not, right click>open with>choose gdebi>ok.Vmax549 wrote: The driver file is a DEB file

That looks like i3- 7100 cpu.
There are two things wrong with your system, both wrong BIOS settings:
You have hyperthreading enabled, must be dissabled and your processor is set to run at 800 MHz ???
It should run much faster.
I do not know what Bios does your motherboard use, but do a search for it and see how to change that.
