Thanks Contract_Pilot

Still debating on building a complete board. I have older versions of MPLAB that should work.
I am interested in the lathe ATC board and its interface to PathPilot.
My Denford NovaTurn uses the 7i77 and 6i25.  I am currently working on a PIC16F 887 to decode and control a bi-directional turret.

If you compare the "ELECTRICAL SCHEMATIC 15L Slant-PRO Lathe May 2015" to the Released Control Board Schematics, there does not appear to be J5-5 and J5-6 for the limit switches.  J5 Sheet 4 at 1C, shows Collet closer.
Has anyone else noticed this?

Thanks for pointing that out.

Don't look like we will be getting configuration files for the VFD, No Firmware for the Power Drawbar and  No other config bits for the pic chip's they asked for help recovering them I agreed to help and silence.

I think we have enough information from the schematics and firmware to reverse engineer quite a bit.  I have a PIC 16F1947 and development board to test out the firmware and monitor the inputs/outputs with a logic analyzer.

To Contract_Pilot : You're Welcome.

Contract_Pilot, does your hex file match up to the one posted on Github for the Lathe Control Board?
Can you post your raw version.

Thanks,

Iron-Man

Contract_Pilot

Can you provide the approximate dimensions of the Lathe Board ?
Do you know if it is a 2 layer or 4 layer board?

Thanks,

Iron-Man

Sorry for the late reply was busy and then recently down with C19 for a couple weeks.

It should match up I updated it with the file in the repo. I saved the old file have to remember what thumb drive I put it on.

Board size 5" X 6" Looks to be a 2 layer board.

I Notified Tormach CEO of the schematic discrepancy.

Great to see you are feeling better.
Have you ever used the "MPLAB PM3 Universal Programmer" ?

Yep I used to own one dumped the slant lathe pic the 1st day I got the board LOL. I really do not like the microchip studio the Xeltek is much better programmer. I do device programming as a part of my business.

I have owned many Xeltek programmers, Currently down to just the 6100N, 5000E, and 3000U. (Old Photo)
