in the UK we have a lot of cable types to choose from.... so spoilt for choice.... basically as long as you can understand the limitations you can work around them

The Ölflex is very good cable but very bulky.
I was looking at this cable. A very slim antenna coax good for this need. Assuming RMS of 2kV it should be OK.

that looks perfectly fine.... good insulation, presume you will use two parallel cables? with the shields as a common shield

Sorry but I am on Tommy's side here. I'm not convinced if the THCAD is mounted in or on the plasma cutter that shielding is required. Just hook it up with bare wire and ground it and see where you go. Ask yourself what is the liklihood of noise affecting the raw arc voltage? Its > 100 volts most of the time so it will be pretty hard for a bit of noise to affect it. In my view, you are better off worrying about shielding on the interconnect cable although the fact that the output is a frequency also ensures noise immunity of the signal.
