in the UK we have a lot of cable types to choose from.... so spoilt for choice.... basically as long as you can understand the limitations you can work around them

The Ölflex is very good cable but very bulky.

I was looking at this cable. A very slim antenna coax good for this need. Assuming RMS of 2kV it should be OK.

that looks perfectly fine.... good insulation, presume you will use two parallel cables? with the shields as a common shield

Sorry but I am on Tommy's side here. I'm not convinced if the THCAD is mounted in or on the plasma cutter that shielding is required. Just hook it up with bare wire and ground it and see where you go. Ask yourself what is the liklihood of noise affecting the raw arc voltage? Its > 100 volts most of the time so it will be pretty hard for a bit of noise to affect it. In my view, you are better off worrying about shielding on the interconnect cable although the fact that the output is a frequency also ensures noise immunity of the signal.

I have to agree with Robert on the 300V and the ethernet cable, they do not go together.
Sorry for that.

Will be short cables as the box with THCAD300 will be near the outputs.

I will have to make something easy to fix these wires as they have to be easy to disconnect also as this is a combined TIG and Plasma. Not sure if THCAD will survive to be constantly connected and mostly be running as TIG.

I really like this one a lot. Have torch with Amp setting and footpedal, like the low A start capability on this welder.
