I have done this a number of ways.
One way is to cut the wires to different lengths, solder splice them and cover in a single piece of heat-shrink, relying on the length offset to insulate phase-to-phase.
The stagger also keeps the splice narrower.
I used this when I got a bit carried-away with some flexible conduit:

I took a more pragmatic approach more recently:

I like Neutrik SpeakON connectors for connecting motors.

I like the thingsverse tidy housing, Can those be purchased? Or did you make your own?

It's my design, published for use by anyone with a 3D printer.
You can arrange to have them made commercially via the Thingiverse site, or just download the files and pass them on to someone you know with a 3D printer. (I make no money either way, so have no preference)
There are other designs on there too. I designed mine to be especially compact.
