Hi,
This is my first time upgrading a working PlasmaC config.
I receive the attached error when I start LinuxCNC.
Then when I ok it, LinuxCNC opens (axis) and the user buttons are not fully visable.
So far everything else works good.
Do I have something missing?
Thanks
EW

Did you run the Configurator in upgrade mode?

Edit: If you have a Run In Place installation did you run make to rebuild it?

I ran the configurator and selected upgrade. From a terminal:

$ python /usr/share/doc/linuxcnc/examples/sample-configs/by_machine/plasmac/configurator.py
From my understanding I do not have Run in Place, my linuxcnc file is user/linuxcnc/configs/. Am I correct?

Run In Place means you did a git clone then built LinuxCNC, the other type is a package install from the BuildBot.

Both types have the same directory in the users home directory.

Could you post your .ini and .hal files please.

Can you start LinuxCNC from a terminal and see if there are any errors as it is loading.

Sorry I am i bit slow responding but I am not getting any email notifications for some reason.

For some reason it is not creating the plasmac_run.cut-type hal pin.

Could you open a terminal and get a directory list:
ls -al /home/eweaver/linuxcnc/configs/linuxcnc_plasma > dir.txt
and post the dir.txt file as well as a copy of plasmac_run.py from the above directory.

Can you load a GCode file after LinuxCNC loads without it giving that error?
