If you want to move to the new X0 Y0 that is fine, you don't have to but it is best to do what you feel comfortable with.


Ah. This might be a light bulb moment . I think what you are saying is when the cross hair is on the part and you have moved to the offset with the dro showing the offset. Then you could just run the job (which had been set up as X0Y0) and it will be fine.

So its just me have piece of mind seeing the dro at X0Y0 before start the job.

Here is my macro I use to move to laser position
O<to_laser> sub
G21
G91
G0 X -40.685 Y -26.595
g10 l20 p0 x0 y0
O<laser_off> endsub
M2

I have another similar one that goes away from the laser position the same amount but I rarely use it. I use a Gmocappy macro button but have thought of moving it to one ove the plasmac buttons
