Cant find plasmac to configure was created by kramerda
Hello,
Followed path from Plasmac User Guide section 5. AND searched graphical inuxcnc file system - BUT no plasmac in path examples/sample~configs/by_machine......
Did find and can run sim version. All above from most recent install from pncconf wizard which yielded a funtioning xyz base system.
What can I try next please.

The sim version runs from the same path that the configurator is located which is:
/usr/share/doc/linuxcnc/examples/sample-configs/by_machine/plasmacPlease Log in or Create an account to join the conversation.

Hi Phillc54 - sorry if my question confused you. Sim runs but in the path you listed above - same as shown in user guide - there is no plasmac in the by_machine sub directory - only things like sherline, smithy, tormach, ....

Plasmac is only found in V 2.8 and 2.9.
Are you running V 2.7 by any chance?

hmmm - you may be right - i thought i did the iso the latest iso install of 9 but the configurator shows 2.7.14

the ISO only has 2.7, you need to follow this step:
