Intermittent "float switch detected while moving to probe height" issue

Hi,
I've encountered an intermittent issue - from time to time between paths my CNC bed is going to a mode where it cannot probe the metal correctly (see video below).

It drops "float switch detected while moving to probe height" and I do not know how to recover from this error and what is the source of it and how to fix it.

Any suggestions?

Are you on an old version of PlasmaC, some probing functions and that message were changed back in May.

Do you have a mechanical float switch or a prox sensor?

I have a mechanical micro-switch as a torch touch sensor.

I think I have the latest version of PlasmaC - installed approx. August / September time. How can I check the version?

Check the version number at the bottom of the Config Panel near the buttons.

Your LinuxCNC version (ec411a42) is from April 9, I suggest that you do an update.
