Can't find "_connections.hal" file was created by Nick7251

I just got done configuring and tuning my base machine. Everything seems to be working well, so I would like to start installing PlasmaC. I have a Mesa 7i96 card and a THCAD-10 for arch voltage sensing. The PlasmaC instructions have me go configure the THCAD first, but my problem is I cannot find the <machine name>_connections.hal file anywhere. My machine name is base, and I looked in the config folder and it wasn't there. Is this a file I have to manually add? Or did I screw something up in the setup to not have this file?

Do you mean the Plasmac configurator, or pncconf? I have not run the Plasmac configurator because it told me to go do the THCAD stuff first. That is what lead me to look for the connections.hal file.

You don't need the connections.hal file to setup the THCAD, you just need to note the halpins that you will enter into the configurator.

The intent was just to have the user understand what would be necessary. I understand your confusion, however. I will clarify the user docs moving forward to make sure to note that the connections.hal file will be created after running the configurator.
The feedback is appreciated!

That makes much more sense. Thank you. I wish I wasn't such a noob. I just want to cut metal again.
I really appreciate all the help and patience. I have more dumb questions coming.
