Hi all, I’m running Qtplasma and I’m trying to increase the velocity my torch changes when the THC is active. I have increased my max velocity on my Z axis but it doesn’t appear to change the velocity when the THC is active.

Try changing the P value for the PID tuning. It defaults to 10. Try 20 or so. Smaller increments because it will oscillate if it goes too high.

I changed that to 40 and it didn’t seem to change.

What mode are you using? If not using Linuxcnc to control the torch height, what THC are you using?

I'm using a Mesa THC -300 and mode 0
