Turn existing config into a simulator was created by AgentWD40
Is there a simple way to turn an existing machines config into a simulator mode?
This is a pncconf->configurator.py generated config for a 7i96 plasmac machine. I'd like to be able to run sims without the 7i96 being plugged in.

currently there is no option to easily turn a mesa base conffig into a simulator.
In master branch there has recently been work on adding qtplasmac to stepconf and it can produce a simulated config.
So you could produce a similar config in stepconf and use it as a simulator.
