Arc OK on a Powermax 30XP was created by phillc54
Even though the Powermax 30XP does not have a CNC interface it does have an internal transfer LED that is relatively easy to access and enables the use of mode 1 in a QtPlasmaC (or PlasmaC) config. The transfer LED is on the front panel as shown:
I used a CNY75C optocoupler (because I have them at hand) by cutting off pins 3 & 6, mounting it upside down and soldering pins 1 & 2 directly to the existing transfer LED pins after scraping away the conformal coating:
For my 7i96, pin 5 goes to +24V field power and pin 4 goes to input 00. I held the chip to the display board with hot melt glue which doesn't adhere too well to the conformal coating so I used a quite a lot around the LEDs as anchor points. (No photo of that bodgy work )
I should add that I haven't noticed any benefit at this stage using mode 1 over using mode 0.

Mode 0 works perfectly on almost all plasma sources, the only offenders being the old type with no capacitors on the DC side so the voltage varies a lot. Using looser min/max limits with some testing gets them to play nicely.I should add that I haven't noticed any benefit at this stage using mode 1 over using mode 0.
