Debounce was created by salem747
Hi all,

I am trying to setup my table for the first time. I am using a 7i96 and I have limit switches on each axis.

I have found some threads about debounce being used for homing.

My Hal file only lists external inputs as min/max for my axes.

What I am assuming is that I can have a "home all" button (which is not available in my gui, only joint by joint home) that would bump the axes up to each limit switch and prepare the table for cutting.

Its hard to advise without seeing your ini file.
I've never needed to debounce home switches.
If you do not have a seperate home switch, you need to set HOME_IS_SHARED = 1 in your ini file on the shared home/limit switch.
You also need a HOME_OFFSET to move the axis off the shared switch or you will trigger a limit error as it comes out of homing.
If you have a gantry with a motor (joint) each side, you need to add HOME_SEQUENCE = -1 on both joints.
read the chapter on homing configuration. Watch the direction of required travel and edit the relevant velocity to be +ve or -ve as required.
At this point, its probably better to edit your ini file by hand

Home all will work and will be required if you have a joint axis but all joints need to be correctly set up.
