Hi, I need help. I'm working with Qtplasma and the ohm sensor doesn't always load when I start linuxCnc.
Sometimes it works fine but other times it doesn't and I have to work with a floating torch.
What could be happening to me?
Thanks

Is the surface of the material reasonably clean and is the material well grounded.

Could be oxidisation of the relay contacts. Add a pull down resistor. I use a 100 R 10 W,  HS10 resistor.
what plasma cutter? what card?

I am using a Thcad-5 as an ohm sensor.
The plasma is a Hypertherm powermax 85.
And the surface is clean.
When I do HALLSHOW the values seem correct.

User "marke" got banned again, kept inserting links everywhere, not just where it was appropriate.
pretty sure he uses another account here, but that one is posting links only on topics related to what they sell.
He was already banned and un-banned before this.

ohmic.comp in the main distribution or ohmic3.comp from the forum here?
Are you using a relay on the mains power? If so bypass or remove it so it stays on all the time.
Do you see the voltage in halshow hitting around 22-24 volts when probing? Is it going higher than the thresholds you have set?
Is it a water table? they are more problematic.

Sorry my remark about oxidisation was way off topic and not relevant. What component are you using?I am using a Thcad-5 as an ohm sensor.

-How can I see if I am working with ohmi.comp or ohmic3.comp?
-I am not using any relay, I have an isolated power supply.
-The voltage I see is about 19.5V.
-I have a water table but I have tried it with water and without water.
Thank you for your reply.

Can you share your hal and ini files or upload a compressed backup of your config folder?
Your threshold may be too high
