Is there a script named langfile in your current directory and is it executable?
Are you running a package installation or a run in place installation?

Yes the langfile is present in the directory but I can't execute it. I use run in place installation and run command "langfile ua" from directory cd ~/linuxcnc-dev/share/qtvcp/screens/qtplasmac/languages

Try adding ./ in front of langfile, like:
./langfile xx

To be honest I have not tried. The directory would be in a system directory so you would need elevated privileges like sudo.

I tried to translate the interface but qtplasmac doesn't see my langfile. This is probably a problem with my system locale?
# locale
LANG=uk_UA.UTF-8

Can you post the language file, I will make a new virtual machine for testing. You may need to add .txt to end so the forum accepts it.
