I see. I don't have any experience using PnP but it looks very interesting particularly the machine vision.

the biggest problem that I see with OpenPnP is the fact that it relies on Windows 10

Regarding openPNP, there are also Downloads for Mac OSX and Linux. openpnp.org/downloads/

I recently bought a PnP myself, and created a new category for them (because I can). I have moved this there.

The feeders in the photos appear to be identical to mine.

My plan is to (probably) use a Mesa 7i96 for the stepper motors + a 7i71 to operate the (many) solenoids. If 300mA is not sufficient then the 7i66 will be the choice (2A drive current) but with 24 channels that is only just enough for 20 feeders, vacuum and head up-down.

Thank you Andy . Maybe this will motivate me to hurry up and get back to mine.
And I hope your project goes well as well.

So I have been back at it again with the PnP. For now it has been integrating an MPG. A CNC machine no mater what it is
just don't feel like a CNC without an MPG.

I Just ordered a 7i71. Those 48 output channels will sure come in handy. I wonder how many additional feeders I can utilize?

I haven't even plugged mine in yet. It turned up on eBay at a time when I am not short of projects, and don't really need a PnP.
