Hello,
i´m using the probe_basic screen....
so i´ve installed now a 4th axis but the jog rate is always 100°/min.
Jog Slider has no effect.
i´ve tryed DEFAULT_ANGULAR_VELOCITY too but it has no effect too.
Thank you for Help.

how about the other angular velocity ini settings? maybe post the ini file for us to review. the axis will only move as fast as max settings for the axis and trajectory control allow. not sure on the jog slider control beyond that as i don't have a 4th axis running yet to test with..

The angular jog speed percentage is set separate from the linear jog speed percentage.
This is the action for setting the angular jog speed:
www.qtpyvcp.com/actions/machine_actions....lar_speed_percentage
The slider in probe basic is probably only setting the linear jog speed.
Lcvette: Ideally there should be a separate slider for angular jog speed, but you might be able to use one slider so set both linear and angular jog speed.

good to know! I will have a look at tying them together! I hope to carve out some time to finish my 4th and 5th axis build this week or next week, so this would have popped up for me then

Yes, I ran in to this a while back during my first tests of PB.
I believe the fix KCJ or Joco came up with was to create a hidden slider that was tied to the existing jog slider, and linked to the angular jog rate.

I just pushed an update that adds an angular jog slider on the settings page, it is linked to the main window jog slider so both angular and linear are controlled with the one slider. i plan to find a way to allow the user to link/unlink the two in the future but need to get back on another project for now. as it stand, you can use the setting page angular slider to control just the angular jogging, but if you adjust the main window jog slider, it resynchronizes the two so be aware of that if you need to change angular jog speed independent from linear jog speed. in the interim however at least there is now some control over it albeit not perfect.

ok just saw you are on linuxcnc 2.8 which is the old py2 version. that version is no longer updatable, our hands are tied because changing anything in the current installer would break it and require dependencies that are no longer available. so we had to move over to the latest python3 version of linuxcnc to continue development.
however, you can install the py2 dev version, and you can still make changes to your own local interface without worry.
the better option would be to move up to linuxcnc 2.9 on on a Debian 11 bullseye install, and the latest version of probe basic which is updated as needed still. from there you could pull any updates from git as required, and in the near future once linuxcnc 2.9 stable is released there will be an installer available for the latest Probe basic with an updater for easier version release updates. unfortunately it is all still hinging on linuxcnc release arriving for that last part to happen.
