There is a script available on the LinuxCNC repository to automate the installation of QtVCP requirements.
It will install the basics required to run a QtVCP GUI.
It will prompt to ask if you want to install designer to create QtVCP GUI's
You can run the script directly from a terminal as follows.
Run in place installation:
