2.8.1 is a released branch considered frozen to new features - so as not to risk breaking peoples running machines.

But QtVCP was built to allow for user customization. This is how I could give you a version that has a camera added.
QtVCP looks to see if you have recognized files in your config folder and will use them instead of the standard ones.
I does mean that if there are change in say 2.8.2 to the files you are using customized versions for, they will not be used.

The process for producing custom versions is briefly discussed here:
linuxcnc.org/docs/2.8/html/gui/qtvcp.htm..._sheet_custom_screen

It takes a bit to learn how to use designer's idiosyncrasies.

Thanks Chris,

Your first file works and creates the CAM Tab that I wanted.
The contents of the ZIP don't work. I get a window as in the attachment.

Best regards,
DomCa

Hi again,

this is just documentation for other users that may want to use the cam TAB in 2.8.1:

To get the graphics working, I replaced the "../../images...." links in the first UI file provided by Chris with only "images/" and copied the images subfolder of Chris second attachment (the archive) into my config directory.

ui file is attached. Can't include the images because the forum says. my attachment is to big... (although Chris could...)

regards
Domca
