Okay. I did not really think that libusb_fill_interrupt_transfer() would solve the issue. But that IS the correct function to use in any case.

If the disconnect happens only at mode switches, I'm pretty sure it can be solved simply by modifying the xhc-whb04b-6 component. Maybe we need to add some more (temporary) logging to the component to pinpoint the issue.

It appears our dongle firmware is different by one version increment. But of course the hardware side is the important one for compatibility. I would think that there is a good chance that the hardware is compatible or the same.

The sticker on my pendant

Had two crashes yesterday. Mode switching. libusb_fill_interrupt_transfer() isn't the solution.

I had commented out the assert() in setupAsyncTransfer and let it continue

Hi at all,

Yesterday, after many Month of working without any problem, my Mill stops with an error "Positionerror ...".
My config runs on Probe Basic with a MESA 7i96S and a7i85S (for the aditional linear-encoders)

I restartet Probe Basic, but every time I tried to reference, i allways got the same error and not just one axle moves.
Also I checked the voltages and all seems OK.
To find out if there ist just a basic funktion, i startet a new config with the wizard.
After setting up the MESA 7i96s (IP 10.10.10.10), opend up the test-movement-mask, activating the axle, i tried to move the axle, but nothing. (The HAL-Scope shows a feedrate like it should do)
I Tried this for X, Y and Z but nothing!

So at this moment I`m wondering if there is a problem with the MESA Card.
Is there someone who had a similar issue and could give me a tip.
By the way, if I move the axles by hand, all the linear-Encoders at the 7i96S works fine.

Thanks a lot.

Hi Tommy,
Scaling was wrong...
My number was per seconds in my mind not per minute so 60 time slower !

Thanks

Hi Rod,

Sorry for the late reply — I was traveling with my family and only catching up now.

Thanks for the work you’ve been doing on the installer and the RT tuning side. That’s really valuable and definitely helps lower the barrier for people getting started with EtherCAT on LinuxCNC.

Thanks! ( I haven't done it yet. )

My progress is...

I found ( in "ethercat slaves" command response ) that one servo drive version was 1.07, and anotehr was 2.09 in 3axis. But I have orderd  them recently at the same time.

Yaskawa support person said, this version is ESI version ( in servo driver ? ), but I haven't send ESI file to slaves as far as I remember.
Their suggestion is to use the same ESI file, and sent me the link of the latest ESI file for Sigma X.

How do I apply the latest ESI file to IgH Master and slaves?
I googled it and ask AI how to do it, but I couldn't get the answer for IgH master.

Thanks, I will use this.
I did have to install the non-free version of unrar before I could successfully open the rar archive, unrar-free kept giving up with errors. Attached a zipped version for convenience.

Thank you.
Should we make this "sticky"?
We would appreciate feedback on this.

I want to use torque homing ....
Is that where the motor moves till it hits a hard stop to home?
Sorry i can not help more, but no experience with EtherCAT, yet.

Thank you.
I would also like to build one such machine, but i have a pretty long waiting list, building a laser and a router now, want to build a small but sturdy mill, a wire EDC, a bigger styrofoam cutter, a rugbot, a normal tangential knife, ... oh well.
