I had the same or similar problem yesterday, when I tested my new 7i96s. The estop remained activatet. The cause was: I had configured one input as estop, but left it unconnected during the test.

Sounds like either an electrical noise issue or maybe contact bounce.

What type of switches are used and what are they connected to?

I couldnt figure out what was interfering with the non-flash 'checked' state, but I figured out a workaround:  set the flashState="false" to the same color as "true" and the indicator appears solid when on.

Time to merge in to my live machine HAL and see if the hang problem I reported on GH have been resolved.

Greetings everyone, I call for help on a new issue with my plasma table. So basically when I go to press home all the homing sequence begins. The z axis homes successfully 90% of the time, the x axis homes successfully half the time, and the y axis gantry does not successfully home. I get these errors with the x and y axis.

Problem... something odd with the indicators.  The non-flashing indicators are no longer changing color when checked, either in Qt or the sim when I toggle the halpin.  But the flashing indicators still work perfectly.

Same thing in the user_button ui - flashing works, static color change does not.

I didn't change anything in the sidebar ui file before/after the update.

Ok i added a combo box to select sidebar tab default for startup, i just pushed so give it about 20 minutes to build and upload and be available in apt update should be ready about 1:40pm EST

Das ESI File nützt dir erst mal nichts. Das ist eine Gerätebeschreibungsdatei typischerweise für Beckhoff.
Zu deinen Steppern. Hier müsstest du sagen, was das für Geräte sind und ob sie CIA402 kompakibel sind.
Wenn sie das sind, ist das implementieren relativ unproblematisch. sic.^^
Verkabeln, anstöpseln, eine Vorlage hier im Forum raussuchen und entsprechend deiner Konfiguration anpassen.

Me too.

That's why it's useful, at least in my case, for something that needs to get my attention... my brain can't ignore anything that awful.

Getting started now on a re-do of the sidebar and user_buttons based on your updates and advice.  I'm leaving the ATC buttons and DRO alone, as those were both created without py file modifications.

Fingers crossed...

Trying to be as transparent as I can here. Newbie to all this github stuff and AI, but what would have taken me years took about 8 months with a couple other projects stemming from it while refactoring to C++.
