Ich steuere meine Drehbank z. Z. mit Mach3 und 2 Printerports. Das funktioniert eigentlich ganz gut. Ich will die Maschine
aber auf eine modernere Steuerung umbauen und auch die komplette Elektrik modernisieren. Ich hatte noch die Mesa 
7I96 und finde auch LinuxCNC ganz gut, deshalb diese Kombination. Weil ich natürlich nicht meine funktionierende 
Maschine auseinanderbauen will und dann ev. feststelle das ich das ganze nicht hinbekomme habe ich ich so eine "Behelfs-
maschine" gebaut, um alles auszuprobieren. wenn alles funktioniert würde ich die Steuerung dann an die Drehmaschine
anbauen.

Just wondering if you've been making any progress on the pressbrake gui?  I just got the press I'm working on moving today and I was going to start working on an interface, but I thought I'd check in on this first before I start from scratch.

Running linuxcnc 2.9.10 with linuxcncrsh loaded. When a client connects and executes a get spindle or get spindle_override command, linuxcncrsh crashes with segmentation fault.

This is the line in custom.hal.

Got things working, badly.

Turns out the sub-folders have to be named the same as the .ui files.

And the user_atc_buttons MUST remain 'template_user_atc_buttons' as that seems to be hard-coded somewhere - maybe in probe_basic.py

Next problems:

• Sidebar tab is appearing in the main window
• Neither user tabs (main or sidebar) are labeled

The software/Gateware is open source; as for the hardware, it’s up to each individual. It can certainly be closed source and used commercially.

 

Ofcourse I already have the TangoBOB.  My post was only to see if Tim's board was not a comercial product.  It is wess designed your dedication is commendable.

I am compiling kernel with RT patch and hostmot2 bitstream for board. Install linuxCNC in headless config, all main modules works, except smartserial, now working on it. LinuxCNC 2.9 , hostmot2 FPGA from Zboard .. If interesting can share Vivado 2025.2 project and SD card image.

On my VMC that I retrofit, Im running lcnc 2.8.0 (did so a few years back), using AXIS... ive had an intermittent problem of axis completely freezing while the machine continues to operate, but not able to use any keyboard input and having to estop and kill axis via taskmanager to restart the machine.
I would consider this hugely dangerous... anyone else have an issue like this?
Its been especially long programs where the toolpath display has had to remove previous run path highlights as it goes that have caused this issue.
Lcnc 2.8.0, mesa 7i76e, dell touchscreen, i5 something or other with 8gb ram. edit: running on linux mint 19.1
Stable for short parts very well, but running long programs has now got me a little scared.

Is this one of those times where an upgrade is warranted?
