Hello,

I am trying to develop a new model of 5 DOF Manipulator in vismach simulator, now I have the parts of the robotic arm in *.obj files. And I have some doubts:

1. I did the parts in millimeters, but the PUMA configuration is in inch, how I can modify the parameter? In the *.INI file, só?
2. What is the right structure code for generate a simulation interface?
3. Also the sites:
linuxcnc.org/docs/devel/html/gui/vismach.html
wiki.linuxcnc.org/cgi-bin/wiki.pl?Vismach
4. The community has any other relevant documentation or information for generate a new model in vismac?.

Thanks for your cooperation.

I saw this thread too late.

I recently added a manual section for Vismach.

www.linuxcnc.org/docs/2.7/html/gui/vismach.html

You might be able to add to, or correct errors in, that document.

Thanks for your answer,

I want to help with detailed documentation, initially with vismach. How can I do that?

The raw source of the document I linked to is here:
git.linuxcnc.org/gitweb?p=linuxcnc.git;a...d56eb9aa58dd0cf969f1

(and the images are in the "images" directory.)

If you click on the "raw" link next to vismach.txt then you will get the asciidoc-formatted file that creates the PDF and HTML documents.

A very brief intro to asciidoc is here:
git.linuxcnc.org/gitweb?p=linuxcnc.git;a...d56eb9aa58dd0cf969f1

(It is designed to be human-readable as raw source)

Make any changes you think need to be made, and attach then to a post here, if you want.

I suggest reading the docs and experimenting.

We can probably help with _specific_ questions. eg what an error message is really meaning.

I did read it but it isn't working, I am missing a lot of things so it doesn't work so I just need a mentor to help me, that's it.
