How to change PWM Frequency?

Now i have tried rcpwmgen. Unfortunately the frequency (rate) is also a parameter. The frequency can not be linked to a signal.


I guess it is better to look for another solenoid valve which is more suitable

How often and how quick do you need to change the parameter?
With halcmd setp hm2_7i92.0.rcpwmgen.rate you can change the parameter. I have some Mcodes that change parameters. But they are for gear change, so they don’t need to be realtime

Ack sorry, I relied on the idiot that wrote the manual page
section on the rcpwm...

I have changed rcpwm so it uses a pin for rate, so it matches
the manual. I can push this change, or just supply the changed
files if you are compiling LinuxCNC yourself and want to try
before I get around to pushing this change to master

i have not compiled linuxcnc myself.
I am waiting for the change in master.

the frequency must be changed during the program execution.
The change by mcodes is good in manual mode. but not in auto mode.

This change has been pushed to master (rcpwm rate is now a pin)

i have installed master. rcpwmgen works now. (rate is a pin)
For the calculation of rate and width i wrote a hal component.
Everything works now as it should.

Will rcpwmgen also be changed in 2.8.x?
