Mach3 XML and Stepconfig issues.

Just remember when you edit acceleration and feed rates in the ini config file, that those numbers are in units/second. So for max feed rate for example on an inch machine 10 will be 600ipm.

Cant find module encoder.update-counters

Like I said I'm sure I missed some lines for setting up the encoder.

The line:
addf encoder base-thread

should have been:
addf encoder.update-counters base-thread

Still cant find module.

How important is that all addf, setp are in one section

Setp doesn't matter much (if at all.)

But the addf lines, their order is important. It is important that they are at the begining, but after the loadrt lines. They are executed int the order they are listed. So their order can be very important.

I think you want all of the base-thread addf lines first and where things like reading and writing to the parallel ports are important to be in the right places.

This is how looks like now. Will leave my shop for now and try again tomorrow.

If you can do some cleaning up I learn how things are placed in hal.

The line:
loadrt endoder.update-counters

Should have been:
loadrt encoder num_chan=1
