This one works fine on OPi PC-plus:
Armbian_20.05.1_Orangepipcplus_buster_current_5.4.43_desktop.img.xz
As far as I know latest Armbian images are not supported, building process ends with error.

I have started from on the OrangePi Zero LTS (arrived yesterday ) with Armbian_20.08.1_Orangepizero_buster_current_5.8.5.img.xz, then I converted it to Devuan, removing systemd and other things I don't like. "install.sh" installed an older kernel than armbian had to offer and LinuxCNC 2.7.15. Now I have:
Welcome to Devuan GNU/Linux 3 (beowulf) with Linux 5.4.18-rt11-sunxi
.. and it looks as if it works. Zero has no HDMI, so axis over ssh is a bit on the slow side, but works for me.
@fery15sty: It looks like you cannot reach the debian mirror at 151.101.10.133. I don't have that problem - I switched to devuan.

sudo apt-get update
in a terminal should fix that.

Thank you very much, I try again using Armbian:
Armbian_20.02.1_Orangepipc_buster_current_5.4.20_desktop.7z
After installing Armbian, I updated it
sudo apt-get update
and then
./install.sh
finished all, without any errors, done.
Thank you very much. I am very happy

I'm not so lucky :/ The older RT kernel does not agree with my new orangepi PC one plus. USB is not powered, ergo all USB devices don't work. The lates kernel from armbian works flawless. Network works, so this thing still can work as a networked controlle ...
But the installer worked without problems on OrangePi Zero LTS (USB is working)

Is there any progress on the skipping step issue? Is it suggested to not run my machine with an Orange Pi until it is resolved?

Huge thanks to MX_master,
I have been following the cnc-club.ru thread for a long time.
Now I have some boards to test.
CNC32.ru seems like not working.
Can someone point me in right direction for installing.
Update: Found quick start guide.
