There's no funding for this project.
There's no any help from other people to keep this project up-to-date.
Too many problems to use build-in RISC core with new kernels and u-boot.
Sorry

There's no time to do that.Is there any progress on the skipping step issue? Is it suggested to not run my machine with an Orange Pi until it is resolved?

That's a pitty. I tried to compile a newer version of the kernel with RT, but failed miserably. Looks like the ARM ecosystem apart from RPi 4 is not a save bet for developers. I remember Xenomai on RPi2 was quite impressive compared to RT on Rpi3. but the project did not get any traction and the images are not to be found any more.
Anyway, thank you for carrying that project so far as you did. Your build works quite good on the OrangePi Zero (LTS), which is amazing for that small unit.

We will see what we can do over here. The Orange Pi can software step at much higher speeds than the Rpi4 since it has the integrated microcontroller. I've been working with the Rpi4 a bit and it really requires an external FPGA to do anything quickly.

Just found our old Orange Pi from years ago with an H3 on it. Already has LCNC on the SD-card.

Tried both of these images on Orange Pi One, 512MB, H3:
Armbian_20.02.1_Orangepione_buster_current_5.4.20_desktop.7z
Armbian_20.05.1_Orangepione_buster_current_5.4.43_desktop.img
Apt update and all installs worked (git clone gitlab.com/orangecnc/installer) with no errors. After reboot there are no USB devices working. :(
USB PHY regulator and IRQ issues in the dmesg

I ran ok with opi+2e, using axis and arisc stepgens. I had no hdwr to test with but 12meter/min ran Chips3d in 84secs. I made a image that i can burn to sd and repeat those numbers. Its on google drive. I sent invite to Bari. Remember it requires opi+2e. This link should be good for anyone

I _really_would like to have the lost step issue fixed.
Thanks TomP
I built adapter board for Opi+2e to plug into GeckoG540 and to breakout i/o
so the wiring paths were pcb and very very short. I was able to send one donation buut 50$ doesnt go far in the supermarket these days.

Thanks Tom! I'll have to order an opi+2e.
MX_Master has done a lot of work to get it this far. Thank you again.
It takes a lot of work to get these arm boards working properly.

Can you please post which sources you used and how you built the ISO so that it is not a magic ISO?

If an older version Armbian_20.05.2_Orangepipc_buster_current_5.4.43 is used as the basis (without subsequent update), then the system goes OK.
