Generally all I do is boot with the Live version on USB stick, then run the included latency test with Linuxcnc and mess around with it for a bit.
If you want to use the script in this thread, do a full install on one HDD\SSD and use the same HDD\SDD on each computer. Mostly once Linux is installed on a HDD it's pretty agnostic to being swapped from machine to machine. Unlike windows that will at best tie itself in knots or not boot.
The only issue is you have a mix of machines that boot from BIOS vs UEFI.
I'd rather install Linuxcnc on 12 machines than Windows 10 on one....I know which is the quicker way to go.

Too funny!
Awesome, thank you for the quick reply, I love Linux more every day. That's good info, I have many 7200 RPM drives here and a nice 240G SSD on the way, for now I'll try the HDDs.
I do have quite a mix of machines but most are 2005-2009, I have weeded out out the really old ones with less than 2G processors and BIOS from 2000 or so.
Now the fun begins!
Cheers

If you download the script in a live version, it should be able to run. It will install what >I thought< could be missing. If you go ahead and find something odd, kindly report reasonably detailed.
I should be able to get around my rough patch in a couple of months.

First of all thank for making easy latency test script.
I had used the script without problem several time before.
But from a few week ago, the script can not play the vimeo video clip with browser's message "can't find video".
and the script termination.
How can i play other video clip during the script running?
Please help me.

Open FireFox, play a video, resize it several times, leave it playing.

I'll try to fix that this weekend. Can't promise though.
