@ CNC4Life,
Hmm. That's an almost official 3rd generation release. I gave the link to test your pc with an orginal debian iso. After all, not
a very bad idea.. ..
Inside the iso i think they forgot to do "sudo update-grub" at the end of creating the iso image. Just before umounting chroot.
Another methode is adding these inside the iso, for example during a live-build :
Did you had displayport problems with the lcnc iso?

Areyou deperate to run Bullseye, or do you just want to run LinuxCNC?
If you just want LinuxCNC, then can I recommend the LiinuxCNC installer?

I appreciate the feedback and rowing uphill seems like a poor choice. I purchased a generation older PC and it doesn't need any extra drivers and it works out of the box.
Thanks for your time.

@ Grotius
Not sure what this has to do with the topic.
I'd be much more interested to know how you are getting on with that 6 axis motion planner

Hi Arciera,
Mr. Macron has crossed the line. I had to take action. My future distro's will not longer work in country's violating human rights.
It's a message involving human rights, and how to defend against criminal states. It's no political statement.
So France, be aware !
I'd be much more interested in knowing how you are getting on with that 6 axis motion planner
Yes. It's on the list to do. Now coding the "joco power" cam program. Will give a update later on this day !

I see. With such an ethical standard you might find yourself with a rather short white list though.

I am a newbie too, I was trying to boot live cd from USB and face similar problem. It looks like menu trying to run wrong files name of the kernel, it tries to run version 4 of the kernel, but image contains version 5 of the kernel. Then I edit command line it proceeds but crashes down the road.
And second issue, if I try to run Installation to hard drive. It is starting no problem, but then reaching drive partitioning it does not provide option to partition correct drive. It only lists USB drive in the menu, but if I run devadm info /dev/sda1 it actually sees HDD.
If you have any suggestions let me know. Will try older image, with kernel 4.19 in the meantime
