I changed to Sid and the kernel now recognizes the video card and monitor.

I just started the latency-histogram --nobase --show --sbins 300

So after a couple of hours the latency test still shows good, I've not touched anything in the BIOS.

I went to the BIOS and did
F7 Advanced Mode
Ai Tweaker
ASUS Performance Enhancement = Enabled

That cut the latency in half.

If you go into BIOS and disable SVM (virtual machines) and CPU Performance Boost and all the C states in power management, it will drop even further.

Using isolcpus should also drop your base thread to lower latency than what you are getting now on the servo thread.

I don't recall seeing any of those in the BIOS but I'll look again in the morning.

Edit: SVM was off and I found a couple of things that was mentioned on the IRC and turned them off and now latency is <4us.

I did find a couple of things in the BIOS that made a huge difference, I'm going to do the BIOS again and take some photos. Now I'm going to just try Debian 11.4 with the backport of linux-image-5.18.0-2rt-amd64 to see what I get for latency.

Last screenshot is very good, two before are not, they have excursions out of vissible area and that might or might not cause issues with Mesa boards.

Trying to get linux-image-5.18 on Debian 11.4 and I'm not having much luck. I can install the kernel but none above 5.10 will boot up.

I added the following sources

sudo nano /etc/apt/sources.list
deb http://deb.debian.org/debian bullseye-backports main contrib non-free
deb-src http://deb.debian.org/debian bullseye-backports main contrib non-free

But they don't show up in Synaptic Package Manager so I think they might be wrong...
