Do NOT post here about issues with Laptops, post only tested and working ones.
For issues start a new topic, BUT do keep in mind laptops are not advised to use on production machines due to latency issues inherent from power saving options built into them.
All test are done on a production machine, time in use noted for each one below, as are BIOS settings changed and suitability for use in testing or hobby or production environment.

Lenovo ThinkPad T470 with touchscreen and built in RJ45 connector:
-In use for over a year running LinuxCNC 2.8 on Linux Mint 19.3 and PlasmaC on a production machine, wired to Mesa 7i92, complains about latency with 1000000 servo period but never fails, never drops the connection and never messes up.
-No GRUB changes, no isolcpus or anything, probably would get rid of the warning if used.
-Plugging and unplugging power does not cause issues
-Using it on batteries does not cause issues
Will add BIOS stuff and videos/pictures later.

Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 370, TouchScreen as it is laptop/tablet combo, no RJ45 connector, tested using a USB-A to GigaBit Ethernet adapter

-No GRUB changes, no isolcpus nor anything else
-Plugging and uplugging power does cause latency warning, but machine continues to work
-Running on batteries does cause latency warning, but machine continues to work

Lenovo ThinkPad R61E, built in RJ45 connector, very old
-This is with only 1Gb of RAM, Linux Mint 19.3 XCFE, kernel 4.16.12-rt5-kona-rt, single core processor at 2GHz.
-Using 4.9.47-rt37-kona-rt kernel the latency is much better, and can run Linuxcnc through ethernet connected to a 7i92 for 2 days without latency issues.
-Overall, a usable laptop for machine control, especially with more memory. No battery so no info if removing the power would cause latency errors.
Added:
Using this laptop for several weeks now, no issues so far, it works nicely and does not cause latency spikes even under load.
