Did a quick search on the used market already and quite a few of them around the USD70 mark. Looks to still have the ethernet port, too.
As for the touchscreen, I was hoping that ProbeBasic (lathe) would make it easier - but maybe still too small on a 14'' screen (I have a 22'' for the mill waiting to be set up). On first glance Gmoccapy seems to have smaller buttons but have to look into that some more.

Thanks man, if I renege on my touchscreen obsession, I will keep this one in mind;)

Gents,
quick question - is laptop as below good for LinuxCNC + PlasmaC + Mesa 7i96 (or other Mesas)?
Lenovo ThinkPad T470s
Processor: Intel Core i7-6600U (2,6 GHz, turbo 3,4 GHz)
512GB SSD NVMe
RAM: 16GB DDR4
Grafika HD Graphics 520
Screen: 14", IPS, 1920x1080, matt, touchscreen
I can have it for 235 Euro.
I'm bit worried about screen size - is 14" comfy to operate in touch mode?
Thanks!

I am wondering the same about the size.
Thing is, I have only just started my Lcnc journey a few days back by hooking up a 22'' Dell touch screen and at least for Probe Basic, I think I will be glad I didn't go a lot smaller. I feel like I could perhaps go to 19'', not sure 17'' though a few have mentioned 17'' works for them. But then all the regular Linux stuff, like log-in, drop downs and shut down gets tiny. But maybe that's OK as you don't use it much - and on a laptop, you still have your trackpad handy.
I think what I am trying to say is that for a PC, if you intend to not have a keyboard/trackpad/mouse, a bit bigger is probably better. For a laptop, depending on the screenset/UI, 14'' could be OK.

Thanks guys. I ended up taking T470 with touch screen. Added Linuxcnc along with already existing Win and 7i96 works with no issues (on the table for now). Just received 7i95T today to have some fun but this requires some deeper tweaking - for separate topic. Thanks again - computer topic solved for me.
