I would like to remove the keyboard shortcuts in axes, especially F1 and F2, which are very dangerous.
I tried in the axis.tcl file to comment on accelerators but without getting a result.
Thank you all

Thanks for the suggestion, actually adding these lines root_window.unbind ("<F1>") and root_window.unbind ("<F2>")
In the .axisrc file I disable only the emergency and not the power, I would need to delete all the keyboard shortcuts, they are useless and dangerous.

He means no keyboard shortcut because it can be dangerous to accidentally touch a button and move the cnc.
Is there a way to disable them all?
regards
Mauro

It's better to call it a shortcut to make damage, but in my opinion I have to act on the file accel.tcl and axis.tcl but here should be answered by emc developers or some programmers.
I do not understand how they may have overlooked such a great detail on so well-made software.
Greetings

The Axis GUI is a keyboard GUI, it is intended to be operated with a keyboard.
There are other GUIs that have different focuses.

Even with other GUIs if I press F1 and F2 I get the same result.

Here a simple solution to your problem = make a mechanical cover over F1/F2 keys
Then you can not accidentally use F1/F2.

I had already thought about it, just wanting to eliminate all the quick keys, the machine's command from the panel.
The keyboard would only be used to write to MDI or edit the program.
