I lately found a kernel made for high end audio systems running linux that works on Linux Mint very nicely.
The only thing i do not like when compiling a new kernel is it gets very big and takes long to boot, as it will install drivers for almost anything possible. The good thing is once you compile a kernel, make debs for it and save them to a USB, later on you can use those debs to install the kernel in 3 minutes instead of several hours.

Yes of course. You can use the tutorial to compile it, or search the web for a ready made Preempt-RT kernel.tommy can you have uspace mesa ethernet also on the 18.04 ubuntu running
