Secondary spindle on 7i76e was created by tecno
Time to hook up my high-speed spindle to my mill with 7i76e.
This is a Spintec VM17 (old model) and the 900Hz inverter can be controlled with 5V or 10V or 24V
I have following BoB
Is it correct that this Bob is connected to P2 on 7i76e
Where can I find a schematic how to connect the needed pins on the BoB
What lines must be added to my HAL file?
How do one control the secondary spindle? M3 is for main spindle so M300 ??
Cheers
Bengt

Is there a way to redirect following when issuing S12000 to S56000
hm2_7i76e.0.7i76.0.0.spinena
hm2_7i76e.0.7i76.0.0.spinout
to appropriate pins ( IO34 to IO41) on P2 on 7i76e ?

I'm dreaming to have a high-speed spindle in a similar way.. Some day.
I think you will never use both spindles in same lot. So why not using two ini/hal's?

you can configure the pin 1 of the BOB as output PWM ((( PIN 1 in NOT Connected)))
then just hook up the 24V to the BOB
and you are up the 0-10V outputs direct to VFD
BUT you can normaly use MODEBUS to configure your VFD
Keep in mind the CHina Mach3 BOB has a Invert PWM
here is my video on the setup

Not a lot but when I need it I need it so 2 setups not the way I was thinking about.
Primarily engraving milled parts in one go.
I have had 2 more modern spindles from SPV, but they have been converted to well needed cash
This one is 400W but have SPV's own collets = expensive.
I now have to find a solution to my 1/8" tools.
A sleeve to 6mm collet or to cut down a ER11 straight schank. Both compromises compared to original SPV collet that only is available in 3mm so that one must be regrinded to 1/8".
It is a balancing issue I am concerned about with the compromises above.

Is the pin1 on BOB IO34 on P2 on the 7i96e ?

Don't forget that master branch supports multi spindle and there is changed gcodes so you can select the spindle you want at any time. That would be much better long term.
