Tommy, it would be useful if you could sticky that thread as the only easy to find option is Mint 2.0 which we don't want to use.

I removed the glue after the official 2.8 came out, but i can add some glue again.

Sorting out the dependencies are a bit of a pain and now I found QT adds a whole host more dependencies to run QTPlasmac

Use the script Phill made, it works on Mint 19.3 and is located in the "installing QTVCP" topic.

Try it with the base thread disabled (the base thread will not be used and a 25 usec basethread saturates the CPU with context switching)

latency-histogram --nobase --sbinsize 1000

Thanks i can only test blind now as the cnc machine with (7i76e) is not available.
the pc is very stable and supports all required drivers with this kernel.

Is this histogram good enough., the 4.19.x-rt kernel is a bit faster, dose this matter.

You can test a few things with your PC and LinuxCNC like packet time and threshold on the PC tab of my 7i7e configuration tool.
