Make sure you get the latest deb for the 7i96 Configuration Tool, I just fixed a few things and upgraded some things.

Hi all - first post here having only recently got into a lathe project.
New to Linux as well as LinuxCNC so am very slowly picking up the vernacular. There seems like a mountain of it!!
I am trying to install and launch the 7i96 tool. I have Debian 10.6 and Python 3.7.4. I downloaded gdebi as per the instructions on github and seem to have it installed but I'm not sure it has installed properly. The program is in the LinuxCNC folder but is labelled "Something" and won't launch.
I tried reinstalling the OS in case I'd mixed up the installation somehow. Have read through the threads but am not really sure where I've gone wrong?
Any pointers appreciated. Cheers

There may be a problem with the tool.
See this:- forum.linuxcnc.org/27-driver-boards/4113...ions?start=30#197214
If it is Then John will no doubt fix it.

Download the .deb again and reinstall, I might have introduced a bug but everything is working on this end now.
