[SOLVED]How to configure the PWM signal in a MESA 7i96 for a spindle? was created by Nest

Hi, i have my CNC almost finished, in the absence of configuring the spindle.
My spindle work with a PWM signal, the output pin of my MESA 7i96 go to imput pin of my electronic and my electronic makes it spin.
Which is the ping of my MESA for a signal PWM and how to configure it?

There is 7I96 firmware that replaces stepgen4's Step/Dir signals
with a PWMGens PWM/Dir : 7i96d_1pwm.bit

JTs 7i96 configuration utility knows how to setup the PWMGen

in port 4 there are 6 pins, do you know which are the two pins where I have to place the positive and negative cable?

It depends on what your spindle drive expects.

7I96 connections are:

TB2:

1 GND
2 PWM-
3 PWM+
4 DIR-
5 DIR+
6 5V

ok, my electronic of spindle work with two cables, i think i have to connect the cable red in the PIN 3 (PWM+) and the cable black in PIN 1 (GND) or PIN 2 (PWM-)

OK so its a simple OPTOCoupler input so I would wire it:

7I96 Spindle PWM
1 GND PWM-
2 PWM- PWM+

And then invert the PWM output on the 7I96:

setp hm2_7i96.0.pwmgen.00.out0.invert_output true

(The reason for using the 7I96's PWM- is so PWM is 0V at startup and LinuxCNC stop)

hi. I have connected the cables as you say but it does not work, when I run LinuxCNC the spindle is activated and does not stop
how do I have to configure PncConf?
