Driver NUM GEC MK2S was created by greg23_78
I managed to recover a big cn lathe, I'm on cable and make the DC drivers work but impossible to make them work (I don't have any schematics and I don't know if they're still operational but the 2 don't work so the probability that it's me the problem is high). has anyone been confronted with NUM GEC MK2S drivers?
when retrofitting i took care not to disconnect the control cables (motor, tachy, enable, etc...) after wiring with my 7i97 board, i try to enable the axes but no noise and no movement possible.
diagrams below:
the enable contactor I drive with driver enable because on the old cn it was the only output coming from the drivers so I assume it's the enable.
if unfortunately I can't get the drivers to work, can I replace my current drivers with these?

I don't think anyone has worked on DC mk2s drivers.
so I'm going to look into some new drivers.
i found a repairer of these drivers but i would like to compare with more recent drivers.
but i'll need help not to make a mistake because the price is expensive and my motors are quite big!
my two motors have the following characteristics
Motor : NUM motor
Type : 40-P4-61
Series : 6904
Constant torque : 6 N.M
Max RPM : 3000
Volt : 183V
Pulse AMP: 63A
Tacho : 9.5V/1000 RPM
so I need to find a new driver that should deliver
- a voltage of 186 V max
- a rated current of 27 A (old driver carateristics) and a current pick of 63 A
- tachy input
-must be -10V +10V driver
am i forgetting something?
as below, i've found a driver with the following characteristics:
-an output voltage of 180V if powered in 220 two-phases or 220 single-phase (I have both on my cnc)
-a max current of 32A and accepts a 150% peak, i.e. 80A
so far so good, but my questions are as follows
- in the specifications it talks about 0-10V input, but on the schematic you can see that it's marked CW and ACW, so is it compatible with -10V +10V?
-I can see data from the tachometer which is "speed feedback output 0 to 7.5V" and my motor is 9.5V. What should I understand from the tachometer characteristics?
- Finally, is this really a DC driver for my motors for axis use or is it a kind of VFD for DC motors?
so I'm going to look into some new drivers.

That does not seem to be a +-10V servo drive
but rather a SCR DC motor controller that
depends on AC for commutating the SCRs
so even if it had a +- input would be very
sluggish in response to commands
What is wrong with the current drives?

It hard to tell without more information about the drives
It may be that the all connections/steps needed to enable
the drives have not been done, rather than both drives
being faulty.

I have just received my reconditioning drivers, 1 driver was defective in one direction of rotation.
i started reassembling the drivers and tuning the engines.
it's at this point of tuning the motors that i have a problem.
when i put enable on my drivers, my motor turns in 1 direction at high speed and when i press it, it goes in the other direction.
I remove the analog to see, and it happens again.
so i guess it's due to the settings on my drivers and the tach.
how do you set this type of driver with the front buttons?

Runaway of an analog velocity mode drive with no input
may be because the tachometer leads are reversed.

I think it works, the motor turns in 1 direction very slowly.
now my problem is with the analog, i don't get any response from my drivers when i jog.
I've tried reversing the wire but nothing changes.
this is the driver repairer's notes, sorry it's in french.
i think i've connected my 7i97t and my driver correctly.
pin 3 (7I97T) -) pin 19 (driver)
pin 4 (7i97T) -) pin 20 (driver)

I've just tested with a multimeter to find an analog voltage, I put jog speed on high and did a jog (I modified the f error to be able to do it over a long period) and I can't find any voltage.
