I am not sure yet. I wanted to try the RPI4 but I am not 100% sold on the platform for controlling this machine. I purchased all the parts for a second computer also which the results are shown in the previous posts.
I like the idea of the RPI as it seems that I would be able to eliminate the chasing of computer components that play well with linux. Maybe that is just my luck on what I purchase also. Then again the RPI platform may change and become a chase for components also.
I am still trying to decide if I want to go with the 6i25 or the 7i92m to mate with my 7i77.
I have used the 5i25 and 7i92m in the past and have had good results with both. The only thing I did not like about the 7i92 setup was there was a hesitation every once in awhile with the motion. This could have been a motherboard issue, onboard ethernet issue, etc. Not totally sure, but never had issues with the 5i25 setups.
If I go with a 7i92 then I can try the RPI4 and also the other PC I built for this machine.
I dislike choices sometimes...haha.
I am open for recommendations if anybody has some as I am almost to the point of ordering from Mesa for either the 7i92m or the 6i25.

Made a little more progress over the last couple days
1) Air lines are ran
2) All oil lines are ran (Minus the new one I am waiting on for the table)
3) Painted more panels
4) Working on spindle motor reassembly
5) Tool changer installed
6) Tool release cylinder and spindle encoder installed.
7) 6i25 and misc items ordered from Mesa
Need to finish the motor rebuild, but waiting on a gasket, spindle sleeve, and misc.
The rebuild is getting closer to begin wiring and get LCNC running.

1) Spindle motor back together and repainted.
2) Top plate (motor mount) installed on transmission and trans installed with new belts
3) Began wiring, but found where old owner hacked up the tool changer wiring pretty bad. (Was hidden in wire loom)(Ordered wiring for proximity switches)
4) Received my order from Mesa (Using a 6i25 and a 7i77 (Excited to get this part going as it will feel more like it is nearing the end)(Might order a 7i92m just so I can play a bit later, but need to get this machine fully functional first)
Awaiting the following before next update:
1) New oil line for the table
2) Spindle motor to trans gasket
3) Trans fluid
4) Misc wiring for tool changer
Well it will be a little bit before I update next as parts are on the way and my vacation is over.
