HP-copaq NC8000 was created by TAREQ_BELAL
Hi every one
I have an HP-COMPAQ NC8000 laptop
I was using it with Ubuntu 8.04 with EMC2.3.0
i was running very well but after setting up the UBUNTU 10.04 with linuxcnc 2.5
i wade an error message and don't how to report it to the support
can you help me???

If your laptop is old it is possible that you can't run 10.04... in any case we can't read your mind you will have to tell us what the error is.

the ubuntu 10.04 is working good but when i start the linuxcnc program the problem occures
the question is How to copy the error message to send it?

Open up a terminal and type in dmesg > error.txt and a text file will be created. Using the Reply button attach the file to a message.

You will need to boot up, try to run Linuxcnc , then do this immediately afterwards or the error messages will not be there.Open up a terminal and type in dmesg > error.txt and a text file will be created.

Open up a terminal and type in uname -a and tell us what it reports for the kernel name.
