Started ripping out and mounting mesa equipment. The smart serial daughter boards are really going to clean up the wiring.

Looking good!
I have an Opto22 and it has two terminals marked + and - do they power up the Opto22 board?

I have not gotten back to figuring out the opto22 boards.. Soon.. IIRC - you can either externally power the logic side of the boards or you can power them from the 50 pin cable (mesa) Which is the way we are doing it on k&t. again - iirc. also I think on some of our opto22 board I had to solder a jumper to make the cable power work.

All 3 axis moving with the default tune. Had spiced the tachs in wrong - had to reverse every one. :) Looks to be around 500ipm. X axis seems to have .002in backlash. Have to look into it.

Those 50 pin cards sure do give a lot of flexibility, looking good.

Got the spindle drive hooked up. Still have to tune the servos - it came up and ran without a following error - it has been fine for testing.

Hello,

What do you use to label your wires? It is retractable tube with printed labels? If so, how do you do it?
That machine is quite a good machine. Congratulations.
