A brother label writer.. It isn't the best - The clear coat seems to like to peal off after a while. On the K&T we used electrical numbering stickers and then clear heat shrink over that. That worked the best IMHO.

I use Brady heat shrink labels and they are permanent as I am.

Hello,
What do you use to label your wires? It is retractable tube with printed labels? If so, how do you do it?
That machine is quite a good machine. Congratulations.

The spindle taper has 30 years of wear - a 6 inch tool was around .006" out. So - we didn't have much to lose
Now it is around .0005" at 6 inches.
(the dremel was the only thing that would fit up the BT35 taper) - that we had anyway
We also took added about .0015 shim between the 2 ball nuts on the Z axis.

really no alignment other than making sure it clears the whole way in.. The matsuura was doing the taper by moving z and y coordinated.
edit - after that we blued it to check fit. Looked good.

Good Day ,Sam
Your matsuura is looking neat, is the monitor a touch screen, where did you fit the pc ?, on the console is that a mpg for each axis?, has the Ethernet has been difficult to implement?. pardon the many
I have a matsuura with brain dead fanuc m6 control and your machine setup really looks the answer.

Nice job on the retrofit. I am going to begin mine in the next week or so. I have a 1982 MC-500v showing up Tuesday of this month. The MX1 controller will not function properly so retrofit it will be.
I will start a new thread, but wanted to let you know that I like what you have done.
