I have a Mazak M4 Lathe.
It has 16 chips on the PCB controller and as I understand it the parts are no longer serviced.
I've been told that the machine needs to be retrofitted so, has anyone used Linuxcnc on one of these lathes?
If it's been posted I couldn't find it so sorry about that.
All help appreciated.

One was done quite a while ago:

Bear in mind that that was 2001, and there have been significant developments in software and hardware since then.
For example it makes very little sense to use a 5i20 on any new conversion.
