				I connected a 24v power supply to the vfield of the 7i76.
Home switches are working.
But I don't measure a 24V on the output of TB5-output pin 8
Hal file:
# --- COOLANT-FLOOD ---
net coolant-flood hm2_5i25.0.7i76.0.0.output-08
Am I missing something?

				Do you have the correct output pin? (output 8 is TB5 pin 17)
Have you looked at hm2_5i25.0.7i76.0.0.output-08 with halmeter?

				Pin 17, TB5 = output 8
HALmeter switches from false to true when I click the Flood cooling

				How are you probing the output? note that the terminal block screw
may not be connected to the output pin if not tightened

				Multimeter set to voltage, red wire to the output, black wire to ground
Then I press the coolant switch.
When connected the relay I don't hear it 'clicking'

				Is it possible you have the flyback diode backwards?
Is the meter/relay ground on the field ground pin?
(field I/O is isolated so if you have a floating 24V supply, field ground will not be connected to logic ground)

				I did the following:
A Meanwell 24V power supply
Connected to Vfield of 7i76
Pin 5 and 8
5 = vin logic 8-32V
8 = gnd
From the relay A1 I have a wire to the output 8 (on tb5)
A2 from the relay goes to the central ground point.
I don't have a flyback diode yet.

				Normally you would connect +24V to TB1 pin 1 24V common to TB1 pin 8
and have jumper W1 in the left hand position
Also the relay A2 (and meter black lead) must connect to TB1 pin 8

				Ok
Will try and check tomorrow
What can happen when I dont connect the flyback diode?

				Outputs can be damaged if there is no flyback diode and the relay current is > 60 Ma or so
Normally small 24V relays are fine without a flyback diode since they only draw 20 to 40 mA
The output drivers are designed to drive inductive loads and have flyback protection
but it is not as robust as a flyback diode
