Yes I remember doing the same thing for the first year or so.
That would be a good little project...hmmm

dear all,

are there specialists in core trajectory planning algorithms of LinuxCNC willing to contribute to a better documentation, allowing Academia to use LinuxCNC as a platform for developing, testing, and integrating new algorithms in LinuxCNC ?

I offer my help for proofreading and improving the doc.

I'm newbie in LinuxCNC, but from Academia, and working for >5 years in the field of optimal trajectory generation.

Let me please know if you find volunteers,

Raoul

The current expert is probably Robert Ellenberg, as he re-wrote the trajectory planner a few years ago. And he seems fairly deeply embedded in academia.

forum.linuxcnc.org/38-general-linuxcnc-q...oth-velocity-profile

It is a start and the first one that I have tested that shows promise.. he is on irc.

Is there a library overview for LinuxCNC? I am interested in getting a good handle on this source and happy to help with enhancing the documentation along the way. I might try to use something like Doxygen to help annotate/visualize the codebase.

Obviously an enormous amount of work has gone into this and we newbies are extremely grateful to those of you who have created and sustained this project!
