Ok you are booting from a HDD\SDD with grub ?
At the bottom of the Grub screen it should have something along the lines of press e to edit
Same deal more or less.
Choose your option
press e (i think) to edit
input is the same
Then F10 to boot

awesome... i had to crash last night didn't get a chance to try this and have Mothers day brunch in a few but will give this a go afterwards this afternoon, this looks more my style of comfort to try! thanks Ozzyrob!! I will report back my findings!
